I have been a customer at Richmond Subaru since I bought my first Subaru approximately 5 years ago.
Yogi & Eugene have always been great servicemen to work with. They have always been up front and honest, seeking ways to leave me with a few pennies in my pocket. Additionally, I believe Stephan's experience was an outlier, since my car is always clean and vacuumed when I pick it up. Last year, when I was getting my brakes done, I suggested the sales guy try to sell me a car. Too bad he didn't take me seriously, because I ended up with another Impreza from Wolfe Subaru.
About a month after I bought my new baby, it had a minor problem (one of the stereo controls on the steering wheel had decided it wanted to malfunction, randomly blasting my ears out). I called my new dealership and they said that they "didn't diagnose on weekends, I'd have to bring the car in before 3pm on week days." I explained that not only was that ludicrous, but impossible since I had a full time job.
I promptly called Yogi. He told me he'd drive out to my work (relatively close to them - an ~ 15 minute drive) and take a look while I was working. Once the part was in, He picked up my car back to the dealership and fixed it, under warranty, and brought it back by the time I needed to go home. You want to talk about customer service? That's it.
Finally, I recently had a situation where there was a miscommunication about what service level I needed. Even though frustrations ran high, they worked hard to right the situation in a timely manner.
I honestly can't rave enough about the customer service in the SERVICE department.... The only reason Richmond Subaru doesn't get five stars is because sales missed the golden opportunity.
(P.S. I'll never take my car to Wolfe again. Ever.)
